Artifacts in ANOMALITH are pieces of equipment you retrieve from Anomaly Zones and equip to improve your character's stats. They are part of preparing your loadout, alongside firearms, attachments and other equipment. The producer describes Artifacts as another source of build variation, including effects that can benefit abilities. For any individual Artifact, the in-game item description is the authority on what it does.
This page introduces the Artifact system as described by official sources and the producer. It is not a farming guide or a complete list of items. No verified rarity hierarchy, drop rate or effects table was available at the time of writing. We will add individual entries only after they are checked in the game.
What Artifacts are
The official English website explicitly states that equipping retrieved Artifacts improves your stats. They come from the Anomaly Zones you explore during dives. That ties them directly to the game's core loop of exploring, collecting and preparing. Each dive is a chance to find something that strengthens your next one.
The Steam store page also describes Artifacts as part of preparation and customization. Two official sources therefore describe the same role. Artifacts are not cosmetic, and they are not consumables you use up. They are equipment that shapes how your character performs.
Artifacts and build variation
In a TechRadar interview, the producer describes Artifacts as another source of build variation. Choosing different Artifacts can change how your character plays. He also mentions effects that can benefit abilities. That suggests some Artifacts are designed to support particular play styles.
This makes Artifacts one of the main tools for personalising your build. Combined with weapons, attachments and equipment parts, they give you many possible setups. The official website confirms nine equipment parts in total. The best build guide explains how these pieces fit together.
Artifacts can support your skills
ANOMALITH has twelve Anomalization Skills, and hands-on previews describe them using an MP resource. The producer's comment that some Artifact effects can benefit abilities connects the two systems. An Artifact that supports your powers could change how often or how effectively you use them. That makes skill-focused builds a real option.
We do not name specific Artifacts or describe exact effects, because no verified list exists. Read each item's description in game to see whether it affects abilities. The skills guide explains the MP loop in more detail.
Equipment-driven progression
Producer Gai Kidokoro has explained that equipment and accessories drive progression rather than conventional character levels. Artifacts are part of that equipment layer. Improving your character means finding and choosing better gear. There is no separate experience-level system to rely on.
That gives Artifacts more weight than in many games. A good Artifact can make a noticeable difference to your next dive. Finding new ones is a reason to explore Anomaly Zones thoroughly. It also makes getting your haul safely back to base important.
How to compare Artifacts
Since no tested rankings exist, compare Artifacts yourself in a controlled way. Equip one, play a similar encounter, then swap it for another and repeat. Keep your weapon, difficulty and other equipment the same. That way you can see what the Artifact itself changes.
- Read the item description before equipping.
- Change only the Artifact between tests.
- Repeat a similar encounter with each option.
- Note how the result changes for your play style.
This equip-and-compare workflow is practical guidance, not a verified method from the developer. It is the most reliable way to judge an item until tested data exists. Keep notes if you are comparing several Artifacts across different dives.
Bringing Artifacts home
Artifacts are retrieved from Anomaly Zones, so getting them back to base matters. The official website describes choosing what to retrieve during a dive. Your inventory uses a grid, and portals can send materials home. Planning space for valuable finds is part of a successful run.
If you find something important, consider whether to send other materials home first. Losing a dive's haul is one of the biggest setbacks in the game. Our inventory space guide explains sorting and portal deposits.
Artifacts in a balanced loadout
Artifacts work best as part of a complete loadout. Your weapon still does most of the work in combat, and the best weapons guide explains why no gun is proven best yet. Equipment parts cover survivability and other stats. Artifacts then fine-tune the result.
A good rule is to choose your weapon first, then pick Artifacts that support how you use it. If you rely heavily on skills, look for effects that help abilities. If you struggle to survive, prioritise defensive stats. This is editorial advice based on the confirmed systems.
Appearance is separate from stats
The Steam store page describes customization that separates appearance from equipment performance. That means the outfit your character wears does not have to determine the stats you bring into a dive. Artifacts and equipment handle performance, while outfits handle style. You can dress Reona the way you like without weakening your build.
This is worth remembering when you see bonus outfits in paid editions or preorder offers. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes three Armed Schoolgirl outfit sets, but outfits are not evidence of a stat advantage. Judge Artifacts and equipment on their own descriptions. The editions guide lists the cosmetic and gameplay extras separately.
Avoid unverified claims
Some sites may label an item as the best Artifact without tested alternatives. Treat that kind of claim with caution unless the comparison conditions are shown. Drop rates and farming routes are also easy to invent and hard to verify. We do not publish either without evidence.
Early demo footage is a visual reference at most. It cannot prove rare drops or guaranteed locations. Wait for verified information from the full game before planning a farming route.
What is still unconfirmed
We have not confirmed a rarity system, drop percentages, a guaranteed farming route or a complete effects table. We also have not confirmed how many Artifacts exist in total. These details will be added only after direct checks. Until then, the item description in game is your best reference.
If you document an Artifact's effect and where you found it, our contact page explains how to send it. Include a screenshot of the item description. We will verify it before adding it to this page.
