A verified explanation of ANOMALITH's ending cannot be given yet. The official premise raises questions about Arisa Kato's disappearance, the origins of the Anomaly Zones and Reona Minazuki's powers, but it does not disclose their answers. The one full review available comments on the story without providing enough evidence to reconstruct the final scenes. We have not established the final events, their meaning or how many endings there are.
That is a research gap, not a claim that nobody has finished the game. This page explains what the official story setup confirms and which questions remain open. It contains no spoilers, because no verified ending details are available. We will add an explanation only after the final scenes can be checked against reliable sources.
The story setup
ANOMALITH follows Reona Minazuki, a Diver who enters Anomaly Zones to search for her missing friend, Arisa Kato. The Anomaly Zones are distorted spaces in Japan. Reona is supported by the Anomaly Zone Countermeasures Office between dives. That premise is confirmed by the official English website.
Clouded Leopard Entertainment's English announcement corroborates the setup and characters. It does not reveal the ending, routes or unlock requirements. Both sources describe the beginning of the story rather than its conclusion.
The questions the premise raises
The official premise sets up several mysteries. These are the questions the story is built around. None of them is answered by official promotional material.
- What happened to Arisa Kato inside the Anomaly Zone?
- Where do the Anomaly Zones come from?
- Where do Reona's powers come from?
These questions are likely to be central to any ending explanation. We will address them only when verified answers are available. Speculation is not included here.
Where the story takes place
ANOMALITH is set in a distorted vision of Japan. In a TechRadar interview, the producer explained that liminal spaces, including ideas such as the Backrooms, inspired the Anomaly Zones. AUTOMATON's interview describes a retro Japanese worldview alongside influences from survival games. That setting frames the mystery at the heart of the story.
Knowing the setting helps explain why the questions matter. The zones themselves are part of the mystery the premise sets up. How the story resolves that mystery has not been verified.
Why there is no verified ending yet
ANOMALITH releases on October 29, 2026 in Japan Standard Time. At the time of writing, only a small amount of full-game coverage existed. A completed-game review from Noisy Pixel exists, but its accessible narrative discussion does not establish a reliable ending synopsis. We need more than one source before publishing an explanation.
A proper ending explanation requires checking the exact final sequence and dialogue. It also requires separating what the game states from what is interpretation. We will not shortcut that process.
What the full review says about the story
Noisy Pixel's October 21 review criticises the game's narrative cohesion. That is a judgement about how the story is told, not a description of how it ends. Reviewer dissatisfaction should not be turned into a claimed canonical ending. The review does not provide enough final-scene evidence to explain the ending.
If you want to know whether the story is worth following, the review offers one perspective. Our review summary covers its praise and criticism. Other reviews may appear around launch.
Do not trust trailer-based theories
The official Story Trailer was published on June 30, 2026. It provides spoiler-light promotional context, not final-scene footage. No ending should be inferred from its promotional framing. Trailers often show scenes out of context.
The same applies to redacted promotional text and early preview coverage. Noisy Pixel's preview documents the opening premise only. It cannot answer late-game plot questions.
The characters involved
The official site profiles eight characters, including Reona, Arisa and members of the Countermeasures Office. Two profiles are described with deliberate mystery: Kaede Mori, encountered during a dive, and an unnamed girl from the mall incident. Their roles in the story's resolution are not revealed. We do not guess at their fates.
Our characters guide lists every published profile with Japanese voice credits. It is also spoiler-light. Character outcomes will be added to a separate, clearly marked section after launch.
Multiple endings and New Game Plus
Players often ask whether a game has multiple endings or a New Game Plus mode. For ANOMALITH, neither has been verified. We have not confirmed a true ending, an alternate ending count, choice consequences or New Game Plus requirements. No official source we checked describes them.
Do not rely on claims about ending routes until they can be checked in the game. Unverified lists of endings are easy to invent. We will add confirmed details here once they are available.
How long the story takes
Noisy Pixel reports finishing in roughly sixteen to twenty hours on one route. The producer's October 21 letter estimates at least thirty hours for broad content completion, including side missions and reports. Those figures measure different things. Reaching the ending may take less time than completing everything.
These estimates help you plan, but they do not tell you anything about the ending itself. Your own playtime will depend on difficulty and optional content. Our beginner guide can help you get started.
What we need before explaining it
Before publishing an explanation, we need to check the exact final sequence. We will separate explicit dialogue from interpretation. Character fates and unresolved questions will be listed separately. Ending conditions will be confirmed against a second reliable source.
- The exact final sequence of events
- Explicit dialogue versus interpretation
- Character fates
- Questions the game leaves unresolved
- Any conditions for different endings
This checklist keeps the explanation accurate. It also ensures spoilers are clearly marked. Readers who want to avoid spoilers will be warned first.
Where to follow updates
Official story information will come from FURYU's website and the official Steam announcements page. The publisher posted the producer's letter there on October 21. Any official statement about endings or post-launch content would likely appear in the same places. We check both when updating this page.
Reviews published around launch may also add detail about the story. We will only rely on them when two reliable sources agree on what happens. Our review summary lists the coverage we have checked so far.
How to help
If you finish ANOMALITH after launch, you can help us confirm the ending. Our contact page explains how to send details. Screenshots or clips of the final scenes make verification much easier. Please mention your platform and difficulty.
We will credit contributors who want credit. Every submission will be checked before anything is published. Until then, this page will stay spoiler-free.
